I have failed the God who came and died for me.
He shed His blood on Calvary,
And yet I still shame Him,
Time and time again.
On my own I know that I can never be
Good enough to be worthy
Of the grace that You give,
Time and time again
And though I try, I never win. I fall to sin
Time and time again.
You lift me up, and brush me off
Forgive my sins, and call me “friend”
You show me love, and you reach down
And hold my hand.
What precious love, the purest love,
Unmatchable love!
You reach down
And hold my hand,
Time and time again.

Oh! To Know My Maker More!
You reached down into my pit,
You called me out by my name.
I was ashamed, a real disgrace
You called me near, looked into my face:
You said, “I know you,
I made you! I love you!
Come forth, child, be made new!”
And I said, “Please, dear Lord,
shape my heart to look like yours,
To follow you, and mirror you;
Let me know my Maker more."
You called me out by my name.
I was ashamed, a real disgrace
You called me near, looked into my face:
You said, “I know you,
I made you! I love you!
Come forth, child, be made new!”
And I said, “Please, dear Lord,
shape my heart to look like yours,
To follow you, and mirror you;
Let me know my Maker more."
Poem in reflection of previous post; Clay.
I’ve been hardened by the world,
My perspective has been flawed,
But you hold me in your hands
Your precious clay;
Don’t let me slip through your fingers.
Warm my heart! Stretch my will!
Mold into beauty this life that is yours!
You’re the potter, and I am clay,
Show me that I’m Your treasure.
Hollow me out. Set me apart.
Stamp your name on this waiting heart
Fill me up with the Joy of the Lord!
Give me purpose in serving You.
Make my image to reflect You.
My perspective has been flawed,
But you hold me in your hands
Your precious clay;
Don’t let me slip through your fingers.
Warm my heart! Stretch my will!
Mold into beauty this life that is yours!
You’re the potter, and I am clay,
Show me that I’m Your treasure.
Hollow me out. Set me apart.
Stamp your name on this waiting heart
Fill me up with the Joy of the Lord!
Give me purpose in serving You.
Make my image to reflect You.
